Jai Kiran & Anusha

Jai Kiran & Anusha

Kashmir is referred as Heaven on Earth. And we can’t help but agree!
This enchanting little Valley had us hypnotized.. But little did we know that on arrival to Srinagar we’d find ourselves stuck between internal conflicts of the Valley.
On the day we arrived, there were riots going on in Kashmir. There was a threat of curfew too. Luckily the situation calmed down enough by next morning for us to step out.
Our plan for Kiran and Anusha’s shoot was to get on a boat and float on the Dal Lake but due to commercialisation there were too many people and boats already in Dal Lake. It was far from the serene lake we imagined it would be. But we didn’t give up, at 5 AM in the morning our team set out with their GPS on, to find an alternate spot.
Fortunately, we found another lake nearby, quiet and untouched by tourists, Lake Nigeen.
There were hardly any boats in Lake Nigeen.
It was very peaceful, one could look into the water and find themselves looking back. The water was so clear and reflective that even fine details of the clouds were visible in it.
We used drones and took aerial shots of this breathtaking view. We spent 2 hours in that water, feeling ourselves drift away from all our troubles and the noise of the world.
